As far as I can tell Green Hell is more like The Forest than The Long Dark but more complex in terms of survival, crafting bandages, cooking food etc. Yes, I watch some SCUM gameplay and I think I will pass this one. WebThe survival aspect in Green Hell is undeniably better than The Forest's, but if you like doing bases a lot, then it's not the same thing. A personal opinion but Stranded deep is not on the same level as 7dtd and Green Hell. 7dtd is a favorite of mine because not only the gameloop is fun, but the crafting system and basebuilding are deep. I would say it is more an action oriented base building game than a survival game. It has random generated maps. WebGreen Hell just gives me a completely different kind of survival game than The Long Dark. Both are great and are definitely "must-haves", especially since the Switch is lacking in 3D survival titles. I just love how we got two massive ones in such a short distance from one another. But those are all things that the developers are working on improving. The map is definitely much larger than The Forest (Excluding caves.) The Forest is much more 'horror' than Green Hell, I wouldn't say Green Hell is scary.

WebGH is even more janky, but has far less atmosphere to offset it. TLD also just has a lot more unique mechanics for its setting than GH, making it feel more immersive. Though be warned that TLD is super punishing at first until you learn to be take very calculated risks.
